Mi Mundo Daycare

Mi Mundo Daycare offers care for children 2 months - school age (3 Years Old). We are proud partners with the Workforce Program and participate in the Rising Star program - we are currently a 3-Star program.

Mi Mundo Daycare utilizes the Frogstreet Curriculum, this allows our students to begin building the much needed educational foundation before they begin school. We also emphasis a Montessori approach in the classroom, encouraging students to become more independent, building social skills, and setting appropriate classroom expectations and rules.

We are a dual-language daycare, providing students with a dedicated 40 minute Spanish class and having fluently bilingual teachers in the classroom.

We offer small class ratios, CDA certified teachers, and an immersive Spanish classroom.

Uniforms?

New students are given a two (2) week grace period before they are required to be in school uniform. School uniform consists of either a Yellow Polo, or Yellow Spirit shirt. Families are welcomed to bring their own and have a logo placed for $5, or purchase them through the front office for $10.

Students are able to wear jeans, khaki pants, shorts, jumpers, or skirts with shorts/leggings underneath.

What to Bring on the First Day:

On the first day we require every student to bring: 2 snacks (AM/PM), a good healthy lunch, a water cup with the name, a backpack or lunch box, any diapers/pull-ups and wipes, and a blanket with their name for nap time.
Students are also welcomed to bring extra snacks to keep on hand, we will keep them just for your student.

Potty Training Policy:

As per our handbook, all students are required to becoming potty trained by their third (3rd) birthday, with a two week extension. We will assist parents when it comes to their preferred potty training method.
We send parents notifications via Class Dojo for diaper/pull-up changes, bathroom use, and when a student is running low on needed items.

Behavior Policy:

Mi Mundo Daycare utilizes a “Break Time” method instead of a “time-out”, using that time to help students calm down, reflect on their behavior, and discuss with the student behavior that is and is not acceptable in the classroom. Parents are sent messages or profile reports via Class Dojo informing parents of how their student is doing in the classroom, or to notify parents about behavior.
Parents will either be called or sent a message if their student is needing to be picked up due to their behavior. We will work with families if repeated behaviors continue - we encourage a partnership with parents when it comes to discipline.
